Panasonic Lumix FZ62 and Tripod- I enjoy photography and so was very keen to use the camera to take the photos for my magazine. I found it easy to use, and used it in conjunction with a tripod however I preferred to not use it as I had more room to change the angles of the shots, specifically the low angle shots. I then sued the memory card reader to transfer the images I had taken from the memory card to the Mac, which I have never done before as any photos I have transferred has been via an SD card slot in a PC.
Blogger- I have never used blogger before so it was hard to use at the begin however I quickly got used to it and really like the way it displays all of the work done. There was some confusion as to how make posts the same width as the feed however I then found out how to resize them so they fit well.
Adobe Elements 11- Again I had never used this software before and so it was very confusing when first introduced. It took a while for me to learn how to navigate around the layers, particularly layer masks. I learnt how to create the layer masks, as well as various other techniques.
Prezi- This was a new piece of software to me, and at first I put large amounts of text on each bubble and not many bubbles on each, however I have learnt to put on images and limit text so it is easier to read. I really enjoy using it as it clearly presents the work I have done, and allows you to expand on points written about.
ThingLink- Again this software was entirely new, however it was extremely fun to use, especially as it targeted the specific areas of the magazine that are being commented on. I also liked the way that the pins hid any text, so the image was still easily visible.
